Exotic Creatures of the Deep

So I got talking to Zack earlier about how he got some email from the Zune marketing people or something, and is now the world's most prolific music reviewer, and it made me realize that I don't think I've made a music related post in a long damned time.

That being said, I will now use this post to talk about some albums that I am excited about listening to soon.

Weezer - The Red Album
So I haven't been a Weezer fan for very long (due largely to the fact that I had never really taken the time to listen to anything but their singles) but recently I've become very excited. After seeing the video for the single Pork and Beans, I've been even more excited.

Anybody who knows anything about Weezer might find this album interesting, largely because it will contain contributions musically from all members of the band. There is even a track where Rivers plays drums and Patrick sings. And since I heard The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived, I have been very very excited. It definitely sounds different, but in such a good way.

Sparks - Exotic Creatures of the Deep
To be honest I didn't even know that this album was happening, but I am so god damned excited I could wet myself in furious anticipation. But I won't.

It looks like they still have their awesome guitarist on for it, so I am all for it. I still haven't heard anything off of this one, so I can't really comment on how it's going to sound, but I can only hope that when it comes out I get to use the words "Brilliangasmic" and "Fuckdorable".

Also, that album cover is great.

Electric Six - I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master
Okay, to be fair this album is already out, but I still haven't gotten it therefore I am excited to hear it.

I'm not sure what the cover has to do with the album but it also looks cool.

Also, I have heard bits and pieces of the album here and there, but I haven't actually heard anything significant, so I'm probably going to have to actually buy the album at some point in the near future.



There are a bunch more that I want to listen to, but I don't think I will get into them right now. Needless to say there is a lot of music that I will be listening to to soon.
